Abstract
This chapter provides a personal account of the origin and conduct of the campaign by some members of the British House of Commons to use the idea and process of impeachment to bring the then Prime Minister Tony Blair MP to account for his conduct in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. It also makes suggestions for the modernisation of the impeachment process and the connection between the impeachment effort and any future international attempt to bring Blair before a court.
