An overview of the many contemporary 'turns' in the field of Ottoman Studies, including 'the Imperial Turn', 'the Social Turn' and 'the Economic Turn', presented as an introduction to the Inaugural Colloquium of the Centre for Ottoman Studies at SOAS, University of London.
