Abstract

This paper examines the construction and liquidation of the Buthidaung-Maungdaw Steam Tramway, 1911-1926, in Arakan (Western Burma). It was prepared for the Arakanese History and Religion Seminar in London, but not presented as the event was cancelled at its original venue. The paper is currently being prepared for publication.
