Abstract

This article is based on a lecture given at the Marx Memorial Library to mark the 150th anniversary of the publication of the first volume of Karl Marx’s Das Kapital and the 200th anniversary of Marx’s birth in May 2018. Through eleven theses, the article discusses the originality of Marx’s contributions, exploring their continuing relevance in the contemporary context.
